History
Other than its use as an original homestead, this property has remained untouched and undisturbed. One of the area’s original settler families, Florence and Nadine Gilmore, owned the underlying property and thousands of surrounding acres as part of their ranch, which was established in the mid-1800s. Unlike many of the other properties in and around Park City, Deer Vista’s land was not touched by mining activity and remained environmentally undisturbed throughout its history. In planning the Deer Vista community, close attention was paid to the pristine quality of the land with the goal of maximizing its open space while at the same time providing each home site a unique view to enjoy the serene natural setting and endless mountain vistas, which are still predominantly undisturbed.
